Engaging Men of Color 4th Annual Men's Mental Health Awareness Breakfast was a great success. Special thanks to Mr. Donald Burton for delivering a thought provoking message on mental health. The kids and parents learned a lot about the history of mental health and how to overcome everyday triggers. Thank you Morris Chapel Baptist Church, Greenwood, SC for hosting our event, Pastor Bishop Oliver T. McCray Jr. Welcome letters was read from House of Representative James E. Clyburn of Washington DC and Columbia, SC and Governor Henry McMaster, Columbia, SC.
We were able to feed 100 persons today..to God be the Glory!!
Our meal was prepared by the Culinary Committee at Morris Chapel Baptist Church, Greenwood SC. Chairperson Clara Shepherd, Shirley Smith, Mattie Fulton, Mamie Jones, Betty Boles, London Hackett, Jackie Hackett, Zariah Shepherd. Thank you committee members of Engaging Men of Color who worked tirelessly: John Jones, President of Brother United, Twessy Johnson, Shel Smith-Jackson, London Garlington and Sharon Foggie. Thank you Kevin L. Martin and Darryl Lukie of Black Cats Motorcycle Club for speaking to our young people and Marrio Norman of The Optimist Shift.
