Carmella's Ristorante opened its doors on October 10th, 2010 by Ashley and Carpenter Richardson. Over the last 16 years, Carmella's has given Ashley and I the pleasure and opportunity to meet hundreds of amazing people! Ranging from the employees, customers, patrons from surrounding counties, and repeat-guests from a wide range of states! All of whom are to thank for being part of the Carmella's expedition.
This life-changing endeavor wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for a place called Italia's Pizza Cafe... A business that was built on the backs of Joseph and Tracey Badome.
In 2006, Joe & Tracey brought a new flavor to the city of Grenada, and that flavor was authentic New York Style Italian! I was lucky enough to work for, learn from, be guided by, and eventually have the privilege of owning the gem of a business they created.
Carmella's has made it through 16 long years by exhibiting diligence, ambition, and innovation. Ashley and I always strived to provide quality food, service and a pleasant atmosphere to our customers, but in the end, that just wasn't enough. So it is with a heavy heart that Carmella's is announcing our end of business. We will be closing our doors on October 2nd at 9:00pm.
We can't say "Thank You!" enough to the people of Grenada! It's been quite a ride, but like they say, all good things must come to an end. Thank you, and goodbye.
