I will be saying good bye to my lovable Pyrenees Holly this week. She is the mud covered dog in the banner. She was limping just under a month ago and we thought she had sprained her wrist, two weeks went by without any improvement and took her to our great vet. At the time we decided to take a wait and see. Another two weeks went by and it was getting worse so back to the vet and X-rayed the "sprain" area. Both my vet and radiologist confirmed that it was Osteosarcoma a very aggressive form of cancer with very poor prognosis.

She is taking large amount of pain killer but she is still hurting. Quality of life is diminishing so we will be saying our goodbys this coming week. Bummer. 😿 her play buddy Aussie shepherd Austin will be looking for her...

To our dear customers and friends at Lake Oswego Farmers Market,

With the rise in Covid cases in and around Portland and with Gov. Brown's new orders for Washington County, Clackmas County and Marion County along with Multnomah County on new restriction, we have made a very difficult decision to NOT PARTICIPATE in upcoming farmers market on Saturday Nov. 21 at Lake Oswego Farmers Market.

I know some of you were looking forward to seeing us then and we really would have loved to see you all but we feel it is in best interest for us to remain isolated and to be safe.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the disappointment this may cause. We hope to see you all next year.

Again, we will not be at Lake Oswego Farmers Market on Saturday Nov. 21

Sincerely,

Shawn & Bonnie

PS we wish all of you a safe holiday season.

We are located within 1.5 miles from level 1 evacuation zone by the Clackmas-Multnomah county line. We are still okay but as a precaution, we are moving most of our equipment out to a safer location. Air quality index is over 500 right now.

Unfortunately, wind is blowing the smoke and fire toward our direction. Level 3 "evacuate now" order location is only 7 miles or so from our farm.

Some of our neighbors have made makeshift horse paddock for those moving their livestock out of level 3 in Estacada and eagle creek. So we've seen literally a convoys of horse trailers coming in our area. One place had about dozen or so horse trailers parked. They may have to relocate again to a safer location if the fire comes any closer.

Unfortunately for our flocks of chicken and ducks, there is no place where we can take them. Air quality in our region is well over 400 and the birds are sensitive to both smoke and carbon monoxide.
