Farmin' Flowers and Herbs in Corbett, Oregon since 2015.

The seeds of the farm were sown on the banks of the Klamath river in Orleans, CA where Courtney interned at a medicinal herb nursery and Lindsay apprenticed on a permaculture farm and homestead. Lindsay and Courtney are two wildflower enthusiasts following their passion for plants and sustainable living.

After a brief hiatus due to a lull in flowers I am constantly seeking to correct, I am back on rooted with these special treats. Also, here’s a picture of my mom from today. She was matching her car and looking really pretty. And also a picture of my face so you know I’m not AI (and Elliott’s face because it would be rude to crop him out and he’s cute).

New products up on Rooted this week! These spring sunshine champagne sweet peas are like 2 feet long. And we’re loving these orangey red sweet peas. Also, chantilly snaps, poppies, and more. Cat and boyfriend not included, but added for cuteness effect.

We had a blast at the annual meeting. What an honor to share a profession, passion, and market with this group of fierce farmers. We’re looking forward to bringing our florists the beautiful bounty this year.

We have arrived. Happy Autumn equinox, my very favorite time of the year! May we all get slow moments, sharing laughter and meals with friends, and extra time to sleep in. I’ll miss paddle boarding and music in the park, but heres’s to hoping for more of that next year.

Less of the first group of pictures and more of the second for 2026. I’ve been doing this song and dance for 11 seasons and the burnout is very real. I’m reimagining what farming could look like next year and I’m writing it here to hold myself accountable later. I don’t want the light to go out of my eyes while I’m crawling around in the dirt.

As someone who was born and raised in Los Angeles, most of my friends, neighbors, and coworkers were immigrants. It’s so hard to choose the most egregious action of this administration, but the disappearing of mothers, children and people that keep our communities vibrant and thriving, sickens me to my core. I’m so ready to kick ICE in the balls, just tell me where they’re at.

I’ll be donating 10% of sales from this week to mutual aid efforts and orgs that support immigrants. Thanks for the inspiration . I may not have much, but I do have the privilege of this pasty white skin.
