This week at 1 Million Cups, we're excited to welcome Darnell Dugger, Founder of Acre & Herd Ranch, LLC. Acre & Herd is a veteran-owned solar grazing and agrivoltaics company serving the Southeast, using Katahdin sheep to keep solar sites healthy and efficient while supporting local farmers and ranchers. Darnell is seeking feedback from business owners, entrepreneurs, and community members on the operational side of growing his business.

Built neck tough! Our White Dorper ram is the lead breeder in our flock. The goal is to send all his offspring to market. He is a beefy fella!

Meet Attila, our newest Livestock Guardian Dog! 🐾 He is a Karakachan, which is one of Europe’s oldest dog breeds.

Originating in Bulgaria, the Karakachan’s ancestors date back to the third millennium BC. They were bred by the nomadic Thracian shepherds to be fearless protectors of their flocks and property. These dogs are true mountain guardians, known for being loyal, resilient, and brave enough to stand up to wolves and bears to defend their family and livestock. We can’t wait to watch Attila grow into his ancient heritage! 🏔️🐑
