Help Keep the Band Marching!

If you’ve driven by Parcells Middle School this week, you’ve seen our Grosse Pointe North Marching Band hard at work at band camp! But behind the scenes, our drum line equipment is on its last legs — literally.
Our drums and harnesses are so old that replacement parts are no longer manufactured. Right now, our dedicated students are resorting to wrapping pool noodles around worn-out harnesses just to keep things playable and protect their shoulders and back.

WHY ARE WE FOCUSING ON THE DRUM LINE?
Unlike brass and woodwind students who can carry their everyday classroom instruments onto the field, marching percussion requires a completely separate inventory of specialized outdoor gear and wearable ergonomic harnesses.
Because replacing this specialized equipment falls outside our standard school district budget, we are raising $16,500 to replace our worn-out inventory with gear built to last.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has already stepped up! In just the first 48 hours, our community has raised $3,400!
