We will be posting a kid horse later today, older mare and a confidence builder....we have no pics or info yet! We sold her a couple years ago, she taught the kids to ride, they put her in a local fun show and now they have advanced up to faster horses!

I have to vent, lol. 🤷

I'm sorry but if you text and say your budget to buy a horse/pony.. whatever it may be is $100-300 and you would need payments.. I CANT help you. You can't go to any sale anywhere and find something for $100. I have a black and white mare that i posted pics of last week I think that was essentially a skeleton.. and she still cost 475. The mare should have been free but the only people bidding on her were going to ship her. (Yes, this was before the borders closed)

"You can give it to me for free. I have always wanted a horse". Sorry but if I give any of mine for free, they go to a rescue or sanctuary I know or have heard good about. 🤷

We all here work pretty damn hard to help ones in need AND to try to make sure they don't end up back in situations. Sure, some of them do and things happen. No one can control everything. But honestly I'm not comfortable that someone with a $200 budget can properly take care of them. (Sure there is a LOT of exceptions ) Buying them is the cheapest part. I DO NOT want to see anything suffering or starving. And I'm sorry but 10 bags of grain is more than likely going to be more than $200. Depending where you live... A farm call alone for a vet can be $50-100.

To clarify though, I know a LOT of people with very low budgets and they take care of their animals great. This isn't trying to shame anyone or make anyone sound lesser or better.. but for the animals sake... It's what I chose to do and act on. If someone is offended but it means the animal has a better future.. so be it. 🤷 They don't get choices and need someone to act on their behalf.
