B did some bee art on a new hive today.

Queen bee with her crown. Worker bee with a hard hat on. Drone with his, well, nothing...not even a stinger.

Did you know the drone doesn't have a stinger and serves no purpose other than the obvious? In winter the girls kick the drones out to die because all they do at that point is use up valuable resources.

I've never been one for shaking a jar for 8 minutes but for those of you with mighty arms, let me know how it is.

Note: We did made butter with teeny tiny baby food jars in co-op last year. It was a lot of work for a small reward.
