We are currently scheduling school field trips for our Fall season. Field trips include barn time with the animals, a cow milking demonstration, a dairy class, hayrides & playground time. We also have days reserved for Homeschoolers, Homeschool days are Monday, 10/12 and Thursday, 11/5. To schedule, please complete a form on our website and we will send a confirmation.

I just love watching little Mary play! 🥰 She’s such a bouncy, happy little thing and absolutely loves playing with the dogs!
The lab at Texas A&M opens back up next week, so we’ll finally be able to have her tested to see if she really is half sheep and half goat! They told us that over the years they’ve tested about 30 suspected “geeps,” and only ONE actually turned out to be a sheep-goat hybrid. 😮
We know the odds are tiny, but Mary’s mama was never around a ram, she was always in a pen with goats so this little mystery has us so curious!
Whatever Mary turns out to be, she’s already one special little girl. ❤️ We can’t wait to find out! 🐑+🐐= geep

Meet Mary! 🐑 🐐

We believe Mary may be a geep-an incredibly rare sheep and goat hybrid!
We’re waiting for the genetics lab at Texas A&M to reopen in August to confirm this with chromosome testing.
Why do we think Mary is a geep? Mary’s mom was a small, young ewe that we kept in a separate fenced in area with some smaller goats and her twin sister. She was never in the fenced in area that we keep our ram (male sheep), so we were completely surprised when she had a baby!
Mary looks so much like her mom, but her personality is what really stands out. She has the curiosity of a goat-always exploring, chewing on everything she can find and getting into mischief!
We’re so excited to see what the testing reveals. Geeps are estimated to occur only about once in a million births, making her an extraordinary rarity.

Meet Mary. We have a strong suspicion that Mary might be a “Geep.” Geeps (a sheep-goat hybrid) are extremely rare, with only a small number confirmed around the world. We hope to have her tested through Texas A&M and are in the beginning stages of researching the process.

Come on out tonight or tomorrow night for our 1st Rodeo!! There is handicap parking and bleachers for seating or you can bring your own chairs. No coolers or pets allowed.
