There is nothing like coming home after a long day at work to my happy place. 🥹🤎

The animals, the quiet, the fresh air, the little farm we’re creating… it just makes my heart so happy. 🐓🐐🫏🌿

I love this life. I love this place. And I’m so thankful for the peace we’ve created here.

Sometimes you really do come home and realize… this is exactly where I’m supposed to be. 🏡🤎✨

🧈 Making butter might be my favorite thing! 🧈

It’s SO easy, incredibly tasty, and there’s just something about making the things you normally buy at the grocery store from scratch. 🤎

For this batch, I used 32 oz of heavy whipping cream + sea salt to taste.

I just let my mixer do the work—beating it on low/medium until the cream separates and forms into butter. Then I scoop it into a bowl and squeeze out all that extra moisture. What’s left behind in the mixing bowl? Buttermilk! 😍

Then I give my little butter ball an ice bath to help rinse out the remaining buttermilk, shape it up, and that’s it!

Fresh homemade butter… and homemade buttermilk… from one carton of cream. 🥹

It really doesn’t get much simpler—or yummier. 🧈🌾

There’s something so satisfying about making your own food from scratch. 🤎

People romanticize thrifting and antiquing… but let me tell you the truth. 😂

Some of the BEST finds don’t come from the pretty antique shops. They come from barn sales, yard sales, estate sales and the places where everyone else walks right past the ugly stuff.

These lamps were FILTHY. 😂 And one could definitely have used a little love.

But underneath all that dirt, I could see the beauty. ✨

A DEEP scrub with a toothbrush, some new light bulbs, brand new shades and a whole lot of TLC later… look at these beauties!! 😍

They completely transformed our nightstands and I am OBSESSED with them.

And the best part?

$20. TOTAL. 🙌🏼

That’s the magic of thrifting for me. It isn’t always about finding something perfect. Sometimes it’s about seeing what something could be.

So don’t be afraid of a little dirt.
Don’t be afraid of a little elbow grease.
Don’t be afraid of the ugly find.

Trust your vision. Put in the work. And give beautiful things another chance. 🤎

🌾 IT’S OFFICIAL… WE HUNG OUR SIGN!!! 🥹🤎

Okayyyy this just made it REAL! 😂

Our Asbach Acres sign is officially hanging, and I might be a little too excited about it! 🥰🌿

There’s just something about seeing our name hanging at the end of our driveway that makes me stop and think… “Wait… we really did this.” 🥹

A little farm, a lot of projects, way too many animals 😂, and SO many dreams still to come!

We’ve dreamed about this life for a long time, and watching it all come together has been the sweetest thing. 🤎

Breakfast time at Asbach Acres! 🐓🐐🫏🌻☀️

The coffee hasn’t even kicked in and I’ve already been yelled at by a rooster, stared down by hungry goats, fed a donkey who acts like she hasn’t eaten in 47 years, and watered half the garden. 😂

Just another peaceful morning in the country. 🤎

Honestly… I’ll take rooster crowing over an alarm clock, muddy boots over dress shoes, and animal chores over sitting in traffic ANY day.

The farm may be loud, dirty, and slightly chaotic… but these mornings are pretty darn perfect. 🌿🐓✨

There is something so healing about slowing down.

No rush. No noise. Just quiet mornings at home, wandering antique shops, finding forgotten treasures, and creating a life that feels peaceful. I’ve realized that happiness isn’t always found in the next big adventure—sometimes it’s tucked away in an old wooden cabinet, a vintage teacup, or a cozy afternoon spent at home.

This simple, slower life has become my favorite kind of therapy. 🌿🤎

Every morning they try one last trick… 🥹🐾

The moment they see my work shoes, they suddenly become tiny roadblocks. Walking in front of me, wrapping around my feet, and giving me those “please don’t leave us” eyes.

Wish these kittens could have me home every day. 🐱🤍

One day, Asbach Acres will be my full-time job. Until then… these little goodbyes make leaving the hardest part of my day.

Today’s thrift haul was one for the books! 🚗💛 We spent the day treasure hunting in Mishawaka, Indiana, and somehow managed to pack the car to the brim with the most incredible vintage finds.

Every piece has a story, a little character, and a second chance to be loved. Honestly… why buy new when you can fill your home with treasures that have history? 😍

I’m thrift-obsessed, and this haul has me dreaming up all the cozy grandma-core corners we’re going to create at Asbach Acres. 🤎✨

Bless This Mess

I was absolutely convinced I planted watermelon. 🍉

I’ve been watching these vines grow for months, checking on them like a proud plant mom. Yesterday I practically did a happy dance when I spotted my “watermelons” finally starting to grow…

…only to have some amazing friends (Thank You) gently break the news that those are definitely not watermelons. 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

So… surprise! It looks like we are about to have a VERY generous butternut squash harvest! 🎃🌿

I guess this is what happens when you’re a first-time gardener with more enthusiasm than experience. 😂 Every day is a learning adventure around here, and honestly, that’s half the fun!

Now I need your help…

🌾 Plot Twist 🐐

When I told my husband I wasn’t inspired by expensive purses, designer shoes, or fancy things anymore and just wanted a simple country life…

He definitely thought he hit the jackpot. 💰😂

Fast forward…

Now I get excited over:
🤎 Antique crocks that “just needed a home.”
🐓 “One more” chicken (for the 15th time).
🐐 Goats with personalities bigger than humans.
🌼 Wildflowers I’ll probably forget I planted.
🪑 Furniture that’s “only a three-day restoration project.”
🫙 Vintage jars because you never know.
🚜 Tractor attachments.
🐴 Feed bills.
🌻 Every rusty treasure at every flea market within a 100-mile radius.

Turns out, I didn’t stop shopping…

I just traded Louis Vuitton for livestock.
Louboutins for mud boots.
Nordstrom for Tractor Supply.
And apparently antiques appreciate in value… according to me. 😅

Poor Josh has slowly realized that “simple country living” is somehow WAY more expensive than my designer handbag era.

But honestly?

I wouldn’t trade this beautifully chaotic life for all the luxury in the world. ❤️

Welcome to Asbach Acres… where the animals multiply, the antiques follow us home, and “it’s only $20” somehow happens five times every Saturday. 🤠😂
