96% of beef in the U.S. is finished on corn — even the beef labeled “grass-fed”

The result? 👇
❌ Blander, less flavorful meat
❌ Lower in key vitamins & minerals
❌ HIGH omega-6 to omega-3 ratio — the inflammatory fat profile linked to chronic disease

Compared to a cow that roamed pastures, grazing on a wide diversity of grasses, herbs, their entire life.
✅ Richer flavor — the way beef is supposed to taste
✅ Packed with vitamins A, E, K2, and B-complex
✅ More minerals — zinc, iron, selenium
✅ Higher omega-3s & CLA (conjugated linoleic acid)
✅ Balanced omega-6 to omega-3 ratio — what your body needs

Here’s your GUIDE to beef that is healthy for you:

✅ Grass-fed AND grass-finished — lifetime grazed, never switched to grain

✅ Diverse pasture — cows eating a wide variety of grasses and plants (this directly translates into the nutrients in your meat)

✅No antibiotics, no added hormones

✅ Dry-aged — this process, enhances the tenderness and flavor of the meat (most grocery store beef is wet aged)

✅ Nothing added at processing

✅ Flash-frozen — locks in nutrients

Are you looking for beef that truly is grass-fed and meats (haha pun intended ) all of the standards above? Link in my bio to order!

Ps the beef that is dark red came from a cow that spent its entire life grazing a wide diversity of grass plants, never given antibiotics or growth hormones, meat was dry aged, and then flash frozen!

What does “grass-fed” really mean?

Here’s the truth most labels won’t tell you…

“Grass-fed” just means the animal ate grass at some point in its life. That could be for a week, a month, or a year—but most still end up in a feedlot, finished on corn and soy.

But there is no USDA definition or regulation for the term “grass-fed”

That’s why it’s so important to know where your beef is really coming from and how it was raised.

I’d look for grass-fed AND grass-finished for a cow that grazed diverse pastures its entire life.

The beef will have higher levels of Omega-3s, CLA, and nutrient density your body will thank you for.

For generations, the table was the center of everything.

Food came from the land. It passed through a grandmother's hands. It was raised with care, prepared with intention, and shared with the people who mattered most. The table wasn't just where you ate — it was where you belonged.

Then something shifted.

Mass-produced food replaced real food. Convenience replaced connection. Screens replaced conversation. And somewhere between the drive-through and the doom scroll, we abandoned the very thing God designed to nourish us — body, soul, and community.

We traded sacred for fast. Whole for processed. Together for isolated.

And our families are paying the price in stress, sickness, and a quiet longing for something more.

At Parker Pastures, we believe it's time to come back.

Back to beef raised on grass the way God designed it. Back to food you can trust, from land that's been stewarded well. Back to a table that gathers your people, grounds your family, and honors the Creator who made it all good

God designed cattle to graze grass and forge and convert it into beef and milk for us!

It’s time to get back to Gods original perfect design!

“You cause the grass to grow for the cattle”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭104‬:‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Here’s other foods how God designed

Genesis 9:3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you… just as I gave you the green plants.”

Proverbs 24:13–14
“Eat honey, my son, for it is good…”

Matthew 4:4
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

It’s an illegal to sell raw milk in most states.

And buying Pasture raised chickens from your neighbor in most places also illegal.

Yet, we spend $4.5 TRILLION a year on “healthcare” — more than any country on the planet — 60% of American adults have a chronic disease. 40% have two or more.

Maybe it’s time to come back to real food, grown by small family farms and get back to bartending and home cooked meals.

Easy things you can do to support small farms and your health :

→ Find your local farm at LocalHarvest.org or EatWild.com

→ Join a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) — you pay a farmer upfront, they feed your family all season

→ Shop the farmers market FIRST, grocery store second

→ Buy a quarter or half cow direct from a rancher (LINK IN BIO TO ORDER)
→ Get eggs from a neighbor. Yes, really. Check Facebook groups + Nextdoor

→ Skip the “organic” label at Costco — small farms often can’t afford certification but farm cleaner than the giants

Your guide to grass-fed beef 🥩

In 2016, the USDA withdrew its regulation and definition of “grass-fed” meat. Now it just means the animal ate grass at some point.

‼️95% of cattle (for beef) are fed corn at the end of their life.

When looking for beef, there’s things that I would recommend:

✅ Grass-fed AND grass-finished — the animal ate grass its entire life, not just the first few months

✅ Grazing a wide diversity of plants — not a monoculture pasture. More plant
species = more phytochemicals, omega-3s, vitamins, and antioxidants transferred directly into the meat

✅ Regeneratively raised — land managed for soil health, biodiversity, and animal health.

✅ Dry aged — allows natural enzymes to tenderize and deepen flavor without water
retention or artificial intervention

✅ Flash frozen — locks in peak nutrition and can keep the meat good for years

✅ Dark ruby red color — deep, rich red is the sign of well-raised, properly handled
beef. Bright cherry-red or neon pink = carbon monoxide packaging

✅ Yellowish fat — grass-fed animals accumulate beta-carotene in their fat, giving it a natural yellow/cream hue. Stark white fat = grain-fed

P.S. If you’re looking beef that checks all these boxes…

🍎 Many apples in supermarkets can actually be close to a year old by the time you eat them.

How?

After harvest, apples are often placed into massive cold storage facilities called Controlled Atmosphere (CA) storage, where oxygen levels, temperature, and humidity are carefully managed to dramatically slow the aging process.

This allows apples to:
✔ Stay firm for months
✔ Keep their bright appearance
✔ Travel long distances
✔ Sit on shelves longer year-round

Many are also washed and coated with food-grade wax after harvest to help reduce moisture loss and maintain shine during storage and shipping.

That’s why you can buy the “same fresh apple” almost any time of year.
