Flower Bar Farm

Woohoo! Number #1

Everything on these big green pumpkins are dried flowers. This is always a fun project but very time consuming. All these flowers are grown here on the farm, harvested and then put through a long drying process that has taken me years to get right. The result - a beautiful centerpiece or in this case - on the entrances to corporate offices. If I have time I might try to make some baby dried pumpkins and bring them to the market like past years. 🎃🌸

What a week! Did you know that fall is out busiest time of the year here on the farm. We still have a few months left of the season but we are already planting and getting ready for fall!! And it is a LOT of prep and work. Tommer was here helping me pull and fold the huge silage tarps, prep and sow cover crops, clean out the tunnel and there is still a lot to prep but is was a very blessed day of good weather and good work. ✈️

Today’s showcase is another classic and gorgeous peony. Alexander Fleming is slightly a darker pink than the Classic Sarah Bernhardt peony that is what everyone thinks of when they think of peony flowers. This is a great performer and producers for us here at the farm in North Texas. Check it out over on our website.

She is probably my favorite peony we grow here on the farm. She has HUGE gorgeous blooms and a LOT of them. Angel Cheeks is still available over on our website but just a few remain!
