VERAISON. The grape change in color from deep green (think green pea) to pinkish for reds and light green, yellow for whites It signals a change from growing in size to ripening.

And Square Cloud is in veraison . . . the earliest I have seen in 26 years. Very excited for the vintage.

Grapes are still high in acid, low in sugar. Looking at first harvest in four to six weeks. We will see what the weather hands us.

A very beautiful spring weekend. Come see our 10 acre estate vineyard grow and reach for the sky!

We are actively tucking and managing the vineyard floor as the grass grows as fast at the vines.

We are open today and tomorrow for curated tastings, wine by the glass, and wine by the bottle.

The vineyard is growing fast with the big rain last week and the warmth. We are seeing bloom and fruit set across the entire vineyard. We also see the progression of all the flowers and grasses.

Beautiful day ahead.

Our little patch of Blue Bonnets is blooming and growing and our vines are just beginning to bloom . . . the fragrance is in the air. This is ahead of schedule and we continue to watch for our last freeze.

Stop by for a tasting, a glass, and bottles to take home. Come share the passion in the vineyard and the winery.

Absolutely beautiful day to come enjoy our estate wine and walk the vineyard.

We have released our first estate Syrah. This wine opens with cherry, subtle raspberry and black pepper. The wine has a very nicely structured mid-palate from a light touch of French oak...

My updated assessment is approximately 1% of the vineyard had/has freeze damage and some of that is to be removed in our final prune.

Bright sunny days and higher temperatures ahead. Looks like freezes are behind us, although the long range forecast early last week did not indicate the double freeze we got Monday and Tuesday morning. It is always an uncertainty. Always a blessing to be be able to grow grapes and make wine!

We faired pretty well with 5 - 10 % damage. Tuesday morning had the biggest impact with low to no breeze. Monday morning was colder but had a significantly higher winds and more heat buildup in the soil. 31⁰ on Monday and 32⁰ on Tuesday by my estate weather station at the lowest point of vineyard.

Pictures show a shoot on Sunday and a similar shoot on Tuesday afternoon. Blessed with the low damage and the additional thinning.

Don't worry we still have delicious wine in the tanks aging for you. If you haven't been by lately come taste our estate Syrah that we are releasing.
