As the State fair wraps up we want to congratulate John & Beth Wells with their Champion and Reserve Champion Jr Shorthorn heifers. Also to the many customers that exhibited their heifers. We look forward to seeing you all down the road.

Our very own Beth Wells is in the spotlight. Way to go Beth!

Beth Wells of Van Alstyne, Texas, is this month’s Junior Spotlight!

Beth is no stranger to hard work — when she’s not in the show ring, she’s competing in FFA events like creed speaking, livestock judging, and ag advocacy. She also serves as a chapter officer, manages the cheer team, is active in her church youth group, and competes on the bass fishing team.

When it comes to Junior Nationals, Beth’s all-time favorite event is the Quiz Bowl. She’s been hooked since her first year competing in Des Moines, Iowa, and now looks forward to the contest every year. She’s also grateful for the opportunities that showing cattle has given her — especially the chance to help mentor the next generation of showmen.

Looking ahead, Beth plans to attend Texas A&M University to study agricultural communications. Her goal is to pursue a career in marketing where she can advocate for the agriculture industry.
