ght several acres outside of Gustine, where he would farm when he got off of work in the evening. Then, he decided to quit his job to farm full-time. Over the past 30 years, Jamie has expanded his farm by purchasing acreage next to his original place as it has come up for sale. Thus, his farming operation has grown. He has a large wholesale operation selling to area Brookshire stores, H.E.B. The retail part of the business has also been growing during the past few years. Littlejohn Farms, Inc. owns and operates Gustine Farmers’ Market in Gustine and is in the process of building another market at 822 East Main Street in Hamilton. During the construction, the Littlejohns will be setting up and selling at this address on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. The family also sells produce every Saturday during the summer months at Cowtown Farmers’ Market on the traffic circle in Fort Worth. has created a reputation for having the best watermelons and cantaloupes in the area, but they also have wonderful tomatoes, squash, okra, cucumbers, onions, and much more.
