Got mowers? We are ready to blow and go this morning with 6 mowers in the grass fields and choppers in multiple corn fields. With both grass silage and corn silage coming in at the same time, it’s a little crazy here on the dairy but we love seeing fresh feed being put up! 🐄 🚜 🌽

I am the manager at Wildcat Dairy LLC and we need 2 milkers. No experience required. Benefits include paid vacation, double pay when working on 5 major holidays, and planned conditional raises after 2 months, 6 months, 1 year and 2 years. One of our favorite things to see...bringing in feed for the cows! It dried up enough over the past few days for us to get in the fields and start harvesting grass silage. 🚜

We had 4 different schools come out to the dairy today that wanted to get some practice for the State FFA Dairy Judging contest tomorrow at Tarleton State University. They toured the farm, judged some cows, and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have some fun in the cottonseed while they were here. Good luck tomorrow to Bellville, Dalhart, Snook and Vista Ridge FFA’s!

We had a swarm of honeybees decide that one of our barns was a good place to hang out this morning. Luckily we were able to have our local beekeeper come out and relocate them! Thank you Manuel Ortiz! 🐝

We had a variety of waterfowl join us over the past week as they searched for a body of water that wasn’t frozen. We are very thankful that the weather forecast looks promising over the next few days and we can start to thaw out!
