Before we purchased our first goats last summer, we did our homework and found that kiko or kiko crosses were the smartest way to go because of the parasite resistance and tolerance, good feet, superior mothering abilities of the nannies and the jump up and go ability of the new born kids. We also love the fact that these goats love everything the horses and cattle won't eat, makes for a very happy farm!

GONE to new pastures! Amazing 1 year old (born last january, he was a triplet) BUCK out of registered pure bred kiko parents. His mom was born here she has been one of our best does always produces triplets this year she gave us quads she raises them herself without any help! located in Guthrie Ok, you can check out our farm page at NRA KIKO GOATS to see what his offspring looks like. He was a very good breeder even at only 9 months old!!

Happy Spring everyone!!
It is almost time to wean our first round of kids (April 20)! That means we will have many weanlings looking for new pastures! Pictures coming soon!

The bucket is almost as big as her but she was determined to bring it to the babies!

Sadly these two didn’t make it😢. I think it was because too many goats sharing the enclosure and they got smothered or smashed. We moved the new moms and babies to the barn. By day 2 all the stalls were full with 3 moms sharing a stall with 6 babies. Another doe had her own suite because she was in labor. And another one that had just had hers had her own suite. Now what do we do!! So we separated all the yearlings and does that are not due for another month to a different pasture. Makes it a lot more work for us but worth the trouble! 6 babies weathered the single digits last night with plenty of room. Plus 2 more were born this morning in the now vacant enclosure and are doing great.
