Show me your bffs! 🦮🐾👇

Maybe the richest kind of life isn’t measured in money, but in the love waiting at the door, the paws following you everywhere, and a best friend who thinks you’re the best thing in the world.🐾🐾

I also want to help out our local 4H kiddos with any testing they need. Reach out if you need this for show and I’m glad to help 🩶

Don’t throw those pumpkins away… your chickens will thank you all winter.

Pumpkin is packed with nutrients, fiber, and carotenoids, making it a great seasonal treat for the flock.

Pumpkin seeds are also often considered a natural dewormer, although they shouldn’t replace proper testing and treatment if your chickens actually have worms.

I cut the pumpkin into chunks, shred it up with my KitchenAid, portion it out, and freeze it.

That way, when winter hits, I’ve already got an easy, nutritious treat ready to go.

Before you bag up every fall leaf… consider giving some to your chickens.

A pile of clean, dry leaves can give chickens something new to scratch, peck and investigate, especially when they’re spending more time inside during the colder months.

We also love letting the kids help.

It’s a simple, free enrichment activity for the flock, and one more little piece of farm life the kiddos get to be part of.

Sometimes the best chicken-keeping hacks are the ones already growing in your backyard. 🤎

Motherhood, chickens, a home, a garden…there’s always something that needs to be done. But I’m learning that “done” doesn’t have to mean perfect.

The coop can wait. The laundry can wait. The kids don’t need a Pinterest-perfect childhood.

And sometimes you just need to sit down, drink your coffee, and breathe. ☕️🐔

The chickens will be okay.
The kids will be okay.
And somehow, you’ll be okay too. ❤️

Give yourself a little grace this week. You’re doing better than you think.
