😔 Not going to lie, I may have shed a tear or two tonight.
Everyone knows For the last 19-20 years I have raised sheep, this spring I made the very hard decision to sell out. I never did it for the money (lord knows I lost lots) I did it for the kids. To see the smile on their faces when they would come pick up their new best friend from the barn, to see the hard work they put in all summer pay off fair week, when i would get those late night calls asking questions and sending me updates. That is what I will miss the most. I loved getting to play with lambs and work with my critters but knowing this year is the last time I will see “my kids” show lambs from my barn kinda hit me tonight. Those little Thankyou’s on a poster or a hug after a tough class are something I will forever cherish. 💜 congratulations to Avery on your Reserve Champion Lightweight lamb and congratulations on your very successful showmanship class!
Also congratulations to Helayna Hollobaugh on your first and second placings with your lambs and 1st is showmanship at your shows a few weeks back. You had an awesome week!
