As you may all know, after nearly 10 wonderful years serving this community, our family has had to make the difficult decision to close the doors of our crepe shop. This little spot was more than just a place to eat—it was built with love by our mom Amal, and dad Samy, who poured their hearts into every crepe, every conversation, and every memory shared with you all.
In December, our dad suffered a brain stem stroke that has left him disabled, the doctors call it “locked-in-syndrome,” but with his strength he’s been showing signs of improvement trying to beat the odds. As most of you know, our mom and dad were the sole owners and ran the shop alone, so our mom has since stepped away from the business to be his full-time caregiver. While closing the shop has been a heartbreaking decision, family has to come first.
We want to thank each and every one of you who supported our shop over the years. Your kindness, loyalty, and smiling faces meant the world to us. The relationships we have built will forever be cherished and remembered.
For those who have reached out asking how they can help, a GoFundMe has been set up by friends of our family to help ease the burden of the hospital expenses, helicopter expense, rehabilitation bills, and to help cover the ongoing medical care and therapy expenses due to the state the stroke has left our dad in. If you feel moved to share, we’re deeply grateful, but please know that your support over the years has already meant so much.
Thank you for your understanding, and we are hoping and praying that circumstances change and that we can start our business back up again in the future, going back to serving you all.
With love and gratitude,
The Dawood Family
