STOP overthinking your food… let’s talk eggs 🥚

Duck eggs vs chicken eggs — which one is actually better?

Truth is… BOTH are solid. It just depends on your goals.

If you’re trying to build muscle, support hormones, and get more nutrients in → duck eggs are a powerhouse. Higher in protein, fats, and loaded with vitamins.

If you’re trying to stay lean, track calories, and keep things simple → chicken eggs are your go-to. Lower calorie, still packed with high-quality protein.

One cool thing most people don’t know 👇
Some people who can’t tolerate chicken eggs actually do fine with duck eggs because the protein structure is different.

BUT — if you have a true allergy, don’t play guessing games. Test cautiously or talk to a professional first.

At the end of the day, it’s not about “good vs bad” — it’s about what works for YOU and your goals.

⚠️⚠️❄️ Cold Weather Chicken Hack ❄️⚠️⚠️
If your chickens are showing early signs of frostbite (pale or gray combs/wattles):

Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or a natural oil like coconut oil or olive oil to create a protective barrier against cold and wind.

✔️ Keep combs dry
✔️ Avoid rubbing frozen tissue
✔️ Focus on dry bedding + good ventilation

Simple prevention can make a big difference in Arctic temps. 🐔❄️

*Breeds with larger combs are most susceptible to this so check on your girls and roos *
