Buds are starting to pop around the hoop house on our ranunculus, Icelandic poppies, and (of course) strawberries! Early greens like lettuce, spinach, and kale are starting to take off as well.
With a little cooperation from the weather, we'll have a solid harvest on May 30th for our first weekend at the Davis Family Farmers Market - Oxford! Mark your calendars 🌿💐

🌱 The countdown is on for opening day at the Davis Family Market — Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM at Seymour Lake Park in Oxford, Michigan! 🌱

Please help us welcome one of our TWO new produce and plant vendors joining us for the 2026 season — Decker Farm & Orchard! Starting near the end of May, you’ll find them with us most weeks throughout the season bringing fresh produce and beautiful locally grown flowers to the market.

Decker Farm & Orchard is a family-run farm based on 10 acres in Metamora, Michigan, established in 2012. Wade focuses on sustainably grown produce while daughter Clare specializes in fresh cut flowers. Their farm is dedicated to organic and sustainable growing practices while supporting the importance of local food and community connection.

They believe knowing where your food comes from — and being able to talk directly with the people growing it — is truly invaluable, and we couldn’t agree more!

We are excited to welcome them to the Davis Family Market family and cannot wait for everyone to meet them this season. 🌼🥕🌿

It’s starting to feel like spring, especially now that our first seedlings are in the ground! 🌱☀️

Sweet peas are not only incredibly resilient to cold snaps but actually prefer growing in cooler weather. Slower, cooler growth creates strong, deep roots and stocky stems. This sets them up for success later in the spring, where they’ll produce the most fragrant blooms. We can’t wait to share them with you!
