It's a sad day in the world of wine. After 3 years of rocking the wine guide life-Traveling Vineyard is closing their doors. Since June I haven't had much time to conduct in home tastings but my wine loving friends still kept my business afloat.
Traveling Vineyard brought so many friends into my life and I'll forever be grateful. Customers, hosts, wine sisters (and brothers) and guests... you all hold a special place in my heart. It was a heck of a ride! My hosts and guests helped my business become very successful.... but all good things must come up an end.

2021 5 String, Lodi Petite Sirah
Our sustainably-grown Lodi Petite Sirah is a lush, bold wine bursting with rich, jammy fruit flavors that dance on the palate. An elegant red that’s smooth at first sip, and a magical match with meats, stews, and hearty soups. The perfect pour to share, pair, and savor with the season.
Petite Sirah is the most contradictory name for this grape because the wine is anything but Petite. It's named for its small berry size, but the grapes make big, bold, lush and full reds. It's like a 300-pound linebacker named "Tiny"—nothing small about this Petite. 💪🏼
2021 Woodvale Estates, Clarksburg Merlot
Our sustainably grown Woodvale Estates is a medium-bodied California Merlot—the perfect sip to share with good friends and great food. It’s bold and structured, with notes of black tea, plum and juicy cherry. A wonderful red to pair with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, and decadent chocolate desserts.

We love the fact that the Peekaboo grower's top executive is also the company's chief winemaker. Under his stewardship the grower is an approved member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. They recycle vintage by-products such as stalks and skins into fertilizer for their vineyards. They recycle liquid waste in a woodlot adjacent to the winery. The winery is converting to solar power, with additional initiatives adopted to lower their carbon footprint—from converting all lighting to LED, to using variable speed pumps. That's Good Stuff.

2021 Small Hours, Lodi Zinfandel, California

Made with sustainably grown grapes from the Lodi region of California, our new 2021 Small Hours Zinfandel is the rich, jammy Zinfandel that you’ve been waiting for. Packed with juicy berry flavor and a lush, smooth, full bodied style—this red makes an excellent pairing choice for chili with all the fixings, dessert charcuterie board, and game night by the fire.

The grower's stated goal since day one is to grow world-class wine grapes for producing world-class wines. Since the 1990's, our grower has been selling Zinfandels to prestigious, benchmark producers of Zinfandel in Napa and Sonoma Counties.
