“Follow the Word, not the herd.” — Isaiah 8:11-13 🤍
It is easy to follow the crowd.
The world constantly tells us what to believe, how to live, and what should matter most. Popular opinions can be loud, persuasive, and difficult to resist. Yet God's people have always been called to live differently.
Isaiah 8 reminds us not to fear what everyone else fears and not to follow the values of a world that often ignores God. Instead, we are called to honor the Lord, trust His truth, and walk according to His Word.
Following the herd may feel easier in the moment, but following God's Word leads to lasting peace, wisdom, and purpose. The crowd changes. Culture shifts. Popular opinions come and go. But God's truth remains constant.
There will be times when standing on God's Word requires courage. It may mean choosing faith over fear, truth over popularity, and obedience over convenience. Yet every time we choose God's way, we are building our lives on a foundation that cannot be shaken.
The safest place to be is not where everyone else is going.
The safest place is wherever God is leading.
So follow the Word, not the herd.
Because God's truth will never lead you in the wrong direction.
“The fear of the Lord—that is the one you are to regard as holy.” — Isaiah 8:13
Prayer:
Lord, help me follow Your Word instead of following the crowd. Give me courage to stand firm in Your truth when the world pulls me in a different direction. Strengthen my faith, guide my decisions, and help me honor You above all else. May my life reflect Your wisdom, truth, and love each day. Amen. 🤍✨
