Wailuku First Friday is tonight! 🌻

We’re bringing a truckload of sunshine to town with fresh sunflower bunches and mixed flower bouquets.

We’ll also have plant starts for your summer garden, along with our honey, guava jam, and hibiscus tea.

Come spend the evening in Wailuku, shop local, and support Maui farmers and makers.

Our guava jam and tropical flower bouquets will be at the Ag Fest today, alongside a variety of value-added products from fellow GoFarm Hawaiʻi alumni.

Stop by the GoFarm booth to support Maui’s small farmers and local food producers. Event will be at the War Memorial Special Events Field from 9:00 AM–4:30PM.

We chopped down one of our cover crop rows today and let the chickens have at it. After months of building soil health and protecting the field, the chickens now get their turn to scratch through it and help break everything down before the next planting. 🌱🐓

Fresh carrots for tomorrow’s farmers market at Kulamalu Center. Along with plenty of other fresh picked goodies from the farm including watermelon radish, curly kale, herbs, flowers, and more.

One of our fields is currently planted in a diverse cover crop mix as part of our yearly soil building practices. We took advantage of the rainy season to give this field a rest while growing sunn h**p, teff grass, hairy vetch, buckwheat, and oats to add organic matter, protect the soil, and support long term fertility.

Over the next few weeks we’ll begin chopping and dropping one row at a time, planting vegetables directly back into the field as the cover crop breaks down. This helps us grow healthy food while continuing to regenerate the soil naturally using no-till and organic practices.
