Ahimsa Sanctuary Farms | Agricultural Education

At Ahimsa Sanctuary Farms, we are a working agricultural property dedicated to cultivating traditional Hawaiian and tropical plants, including kava (ʻawa) and noni.

We offer small, farm-based agricultural workshops focused on:
• Plant identification
• Cultivation techniques for Hawaiʻi’s climate
• Propagation and transplanting methods
• Soil health and sustainable growing practices
• Traditional agricultural uses of these plants

During workshops, participants may observe and learn how these plants are prepared in their traditional forms and may sample farm-grown herbal tea as part of the educational experience.

Our focus is agricultural education, plant stewardship, and supporting individuals who wish to grow their own botanical gardens. Participants interested in starting their own garden may be able to take home propagated plant starts when available.

At Ahimsa Sanctuary, we honor the ancient traditions of Japanese and Chinese tea ceremonies, the rooted wisdom of Hawaiian ʻawa (kava) culture, and the medicine of exotic, holistic plants from around the world, all shared through the sacred act of tea.

This is not a trend.
This is cultural reverence, intentional living, and a living school for those called to steward a New Earth.

Our Private Tea House & Plant Education Center on Maui exists to:
