Our shelves are fuller, our TBR piles are taller, and we're already wondering where we're going to put all these books.

A huge thank you to everyone who spent part of their Saturday with us, whether you came for your next great read, a pint (or two), or a little of both.

And an extra round of applause for the incredible local authors, booksellers, and vendors who make events like this possible. You're the heart of this bookish little community, and we couldn't do it without you. đź–¤

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to our amazing Heavy Seas crew, who kept the b**r flowing, the chaos organized, and the whole day running smoothly. We couldn't pull off events like this without you!

It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later. 🍻

After 13 years, our beloved Brewmaster, Chris Leonard, is moving on to his next adventure.
Over the years, Chris has poured his passion, hard work, and dedication into making some damn good b**r, and we couldn't be more grateful for everything he's contributed to Heavy Seas.

But Heavy Seas has always been about more than what's in the glass. It's about the people who make the b**r, the people who enjoy it, and the community we've built along the way.

Before heading off to his next chapter, Chris wanted to take a moment to reflect on his time here and, most importantly, say thank you to all of you who have been part of the journey.

Chris, thank you for 13 incredible years. We're wishing you nothing but the best in your next chapter. You'll certainly be missed, but something tells us this won't be the last time we share a b**r.

Fresh Winter Storm has arrived in the Taproom! True to form, this seasonal favorite is a bigger, bolder take on the classic English-style Extra Special Bitter (ESB).

Clocking in at 7.5% ABV, it's the perfect b**r to stock up on before the chilly weather decides to settle in for the season.

There’s a chill in the air… Is that a storm on the horizon? It sure is—a Winter Storm. 💨

Okay, we’ll stop. Here’s what you actually need to know:

After 21 years in the Heavy Seas seasonal lineup, Winter Storm is making its triumphant return to the Taproom this Friday, Oct. 9.

An Imperial ESB (Extra Special Bitter), Winter Storm brings deep malt character with notes of caramel, toffee, and dark fruit, finished with a firm, satisfying hop bitterness. A blend of UK and West Coast hops keeps everything balanced.

Don’t believe us? That’s okay. Come try it for yourself.
