It’s the perfect night for a campfire. 🔥
The season is slowly beginning to change. The sun is setting a little sooner, the evenings are getting a little cooler, and there’s just enough of a nip in the air to give you a quick shiver—but summer is still holding on for just a little while longer.
The crickets are singing, the fireflies are still glittering through the yard, though not quite as brightly as they did a few weeks ago. Somewhere in the background there’s a very confused rooster crowing like morning might come at any minute. 😂🐓 The pups are playing nearby, happily sneaking a hot dog or two whenever someone isn’t looking.
The kids are gathered around the fire, chattering and giggling as they roast s’mores, while I sit here sipping a Reading Draft soda and taking it all in.
These in-between evenings—when summer hasn’t quite left and fall hasn’t quite arrived—might just be some of the sweetest.
This is country life. 🤎🌾🔥
