First day on pasture for the chickens! Just have to see whether or not they figure out how to go up the stairs at dusk… Last night we carried them one by one from the chicken house to the trailer, in the dark, all 200. The cows have been on pasture for about 4 days

Just finished boiling for the year! Quite a change from earlier in the season (left) to the very last. I will have some for sale at the farmstand soon, all bottled in glass. The chickens are doing well with the warmer weather, although there is quite a glut of other eggs at the coop right now. The chickens will go out on pasture in about 6 weeks and they are ready!

Tonight I did the egg washing as usual, except it was only one egg, the very first egg, from our young flock of 200 hens! Hopefully there will be more tomorrow, maybe even 2 or 3! I will be bringing in the last of the eggs from the old flock on Friday and next Tuesday , maybe 10 dozen each time
