First eggs from the new hens! This is a different breed so the eggs are a bit darker than eggs from the older hens. Full production in about 6 weeks.

We are ending up with quite a few irregular and cracked eggs these days, so rather than just throw them out I am freezing them immediately in plastic containers, about 8 eggs per container. I make our own cat food and use about 10 cracked eggs per batch, and I also used them for our dog food recipe also. If there is an interest they are for sale out in the farmstand freezer for $3 per container. We use a raw diet premix for the cats that has Taurine and other essential ingredients, available online, the cats love it

Revised meat list, we still have plenty of steaks and sausage, ground beef. Egg production is still dropping slightly, but we usually have eggs (and meat) at the farmstand (open all the time) and I bring 6 dozen in every Friday afternoon to the Marlboro Community Center along with ground beef and sausage (check online for hours). I bring most of the eggs to the Coop on Tuesday and Friday afternoons.

Near-empty freezers! However! I just sent 3 steers today, with 1200 lbs of meat back on July 15th+-. I ordered 3 types of sausage, hotdogs, ground beef, briskets, short ribs, steaks… I did not order beef Kielbasa sausage, if enough people would like some I can put in for that also, however the minimum batch size is 50 lbs, so there has to be quite a bit of interest, thanks!
