Big news this morning from San Angelo! Congratulations to John Jones on having the Reserve Supreme Champion Purebred gilt and 4th overall in the stars gilt show. She has had a great run this fall and capped it off in style today!

Her mate sister that the McBride family had at the Texas Elite was 5th overall Berkshire as well!

As the show season comes to a close we wanted congratulate those who have done a great job with our pigs the last couple of months. Alittle late to the posting party but the kids hard work and trust in our program wasn’t forgotten about. We didnt have a huge # of barrows head to the majors but went 2/3 on sale holes at Houston and 2/2 on top 5 barrows at Austin with a purebred Berkshire that ran into a classification issue but still managed to hold his own in the dark crosses.

It’s always a good day when you get it done on your home turf but it’s even more special when you win with one out of a boar you raised. We have been holding on to this set for awhile and will be finally turning them loose on 9/1. Gilts available 8/25 off the farm once we get back from the Alliance.
