Merrick Farmstead LLC Bringing People & Animals Together Merrick Farmstead is a dream come true for Jamie and Kyle Merrick.
(3)

Kyle is originally from the city, and Jamie is from the country. Somehow, these two came together and found their joy in bringing people closer to animals. From that day forward, three Children and many—I mean many—animals later, Merrick Farmstead was born with the intent to bring people closer to animals and bring joy to their hearts. We also provide farm-fresh eggs, meats, and soon-to-be produce for a healthy, natural alternative. Kyle and Jamie Merrick are members of AKKPS (American KuneKune Pig Association). Jamie is also a licensed exotic animal breeder under the Missouri Conservation Department.

Meet Spike, my Beardie. 🦎❤️
Just another one of the many creatures around here that has my whole heart. 😂

Look at that face!! He’s spiky, slightly judgmental, ridiculously cute, and apparently very accustomed to being spoiled. 😂❤️

I really do love ALL of God’s creatures… scales included. 🦎❤️

Petunia, the Potbelly Queen of Sass, is a MESS. 😂😂🐷

She is just NOT giving up on this whole idea that she needs babies. 😂 Apparently, she has plans for herself that I am simply not cooperating with.

Sorry, Queen Petunia… not happening. 😂🐷👑

She cracks me up!

I absolutely LOVE my Duckies!! 🦆❤️ Look how sweet they are!

And they KNOW what time Mama likes them tucked away safely before everyone is cooped up for the night. 😂❤️ We’ve got our little routine down, thanks to that beautiful… EVIL fox. 🦊🙄

When evening comes, everybody knows the drill—time to get those cute little feathered booties somewhere SAFE! 😂🦆❤️

They’re just too stinking cute! ❤️❤️

The sweet, sweet sounds of happy turkeys 🦃❤️

All those little chirps, trills, and turkey noises… I LOVE it. 😂❤️ There’s just something about hearing a flock content and talking amongst themselves that makes my heart happy.

Just a bunch of happy Turkey Berkys doing what Turkey Berkys do. 😂🦃❤️

It sure has been a season, but I tell you what… I’ve been SO blessed with some of the absolute best customers—and some who have now become friends. ❤️

Today I met up with another fellow farm-turned friend to deliver the last of my quail chicks for the season, and what she had waiting for me was the sweetest, most thoughtful basket of goodies. She doesn’t know it, but I wanted to cry AND give her a big ol’ sweaty hug. 😂❤️ And I’m not even a hugger😬😬! Thank you, Rood Oasis, for my baskets of beautiful blessings❤️❤️

I’ve always been a giver. I LOVE giving to people and doing little things to make someone else feel loved. But lately, it feels like the tables have turned and I’m the one being blessed by others. I’m not always the best at being on the receiving end, but goodness… these little acts of love have touched my heart more than they probably even realize.

In just the past week, TWO sweet ladies have surprised me with the most thoughtful baskets of goodies. It wasn’t just what was inside them—it was knowing someone thought of me, took the time to put something together for me, and wanted to bless me. ❤️ I love them so much!

This season has had its ups and downs, but God has put some truly wonderful people in my path through this little farm of ours. Fellow farmers turned friends. Customers turned friends. ❤️ And THAT is something I’ll treasure far beyond anything we could ever sell here.

My heart is just really, really full. ❤️❤️

Just an upload of a little bit of EVERYTHING around here lately ❤️😂

Piggy faces. Rabbit faces. Duck faces. Chicken faces. Quail babies. Turkey Berkys. 🦃
Eggs in all their pretty colors. 🥚❤️
Plants EVERYWHERE, flowers blooming, and herbs growing. 🌿🌸
Butterflies fluttering around, the cutest little tree frogs, toads hopping through the garden… Oh my goodness, I LOVE them ALL! 😂❤️🐸🦋

There is just SO much life around this place.

Feathers, fur, dirt, plants, flowers, eggs, babies, little creatures everywhere, noise, and plenty of chaos. 😂❤️ And I wouldn’t want it any other way.

My husband and our three beautiful children will ALWAYS be my greatest blessings. This little farm and everything God has filled it with? That’s just the bonus. ❤️ And goodness, what a sweet bonus it is.

God has been so incredibly good to me. ❤️

🦃❤️ Turkey Flock Update! ❤️🦃

‼️SOLD‼️
🦃 4 Sweetgrasses- 2 pairs
🦃 2 Tri-Colored Mottled Blacks
💥Thank you so much for all the support💥

⬇️🚨Still Available 🚨⬇️

8+ MONTH OLDS -Must get at least two, or I'll make a deal if you take all!

🦃 2 Tri-Colored Mottled Slate Jakes
These guys were produced right here from my Sweetgrass toms over my Blue Slate hens. They’ve grown into some absolutely beautiful boys!

🦃 1 Heritage Variety Jake
This guy is a bit of a mystery! I bought him as a poult, thinking he was a different breed, but as he matured, it became clear he wasn’t. He could be a Penciled Blue Cornish Palm or something similar, but since I don’t know for certain, I’m calling him a Heritage Variety.

🦃 1 Heritage Variety Jenny (must go with a Jake)
She came from the same group as the boy above. She could be a Semi-Penciled Palm variety, but again, I don’t know for certain—and I’d much rather say “I don’t know” than tell someone something I can’t guarantee.

If one catches your eye, feel free to message me. ❤️

❤️ HAPPY MONDAY, FRIENDS! ❤️

A brand-new week is here, and I just wanted to remind someone today—you don’t have to have everything figured out to keep moving forward.

Maybe last week didn’t go the way you hoped. Maybe you made mistakes, had some hard days, or simply felt like you were running on empty. That’s okay. Today is a new day, and God’s mercies are new every morning.

Give yourself some grace. Encourage somebody. Choose kindness. Be thankful for the little things. Keep showing up, keep growing, and don’t let one hard day—or even a hard season—convince you that there isn’t still SO much good ahead.

❤️ MONDAY SHOUT-OUTS! ❤️

I’m going to work my way through the alphabet, so today we’re starting with all the A,B, & C!
