Senator Putnam has attended a few farm to school events that I’ve been at as well and also came for a tour of our facilities last year! Thank you for your support of local healthy foods getting into students and families hands!

As many of you know, addressing food insecurity has long been a priority of mine. From passing the Hunger Free Campus Act to funding farmers to bring food to schools and food shelves, and even hosting a couple food drives ourselves, we've tried to make connections and provide resources to help people. Our awesome friends at Minnesota Pork are helping out this holiday season.

Ham is a big part of how many families celebrate Christmas. But too many people are struggling this holiday season. Let's step up and help. Give a hand. And a Ham.

My pal Jill, Queen of Pork, asked me to contribute, to let you know this is a thing, and to challenge others to do so too. I'm doing all three. So,

I bought this business because I am passionate about food access and helping to (re)develop our regional food system.
Not only do I get to supply my Alma mater, but it is gratifying to know that our potatoes go towards the Meals on Wheels program that Concordia is involved with.

Andrea, with The BernBaum's Cookbook, was basically the first (and most convenient to work with) Fargo restaurant to buy our potatoes directly. While the restaurant is now closed, the BernBaums spirit lives on—especially through this cookbook.
This looks like a great upcoming event to attend overall—check it out!

Proud to be certified organic so we can easily say we don’t use this—or condone the usage of certain chemicals that have widespread harmful damage to land or personal health. We just offer a potato with water and other natural nutrients and minerals from the soil.

Great Plains Food Bank has been busy distributing food and other necessary supplies throughout the region—and now our potatoes will be in the hands of those currently in need because of them. 20,000 # are on their way!

Ready or not, here it comes!
Thanksgiving is just around the corner--and with that, many warm and hearty meals will be shared in homes, churches, restaurants, and other establishments across the region.
If that meal includes potatoes, please keep in mind that we have some GREAT quality red potatoes this year that are Red River Valley grown and certified organic. We offer them in 50 # bags for $40 each delivered which comes to $.80/lb.
Are you interested in making a positive impact beyond just providing the meal to people? Then please reach out directly to our page, the number provided on it, or to [email protected] and I will get the potatoes delivered next week! Anything from one bag to many!
