***FCCLA STAR EVENT SPOTLIGHT***

Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) Events are Competitive Events in which members compete at district, state, and national levels. Members can select from over 50 Competitive Events that employ skills and knowledge learned through Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education.

The next group I'd like to showcase is MacKenna Mather and Payten Belt. They have chosen to do a Focus on Children project. This event recognizes participants who use Family and Consumer Sciences skills to plan and conduct a child development project that has a positive impact on children and the community. Their project focuses on friendship and teaching the littles how to be good friends to each other. They will be presenting their project at the state conference at the end of the month.

There are fundraisers happening to help the kids get to state. Thank you to those who have already supported our efforts! ❤️
