We took training to Hocking Hills this weekend!

D-Sel, our tiny but mighty Chihuahua, faced a world full of obstacles way bigger than him. From uneven trails to steep steps, he showed incredible courage and determination, proving that confidence isn’t about size—it’s about mindset.
Raven, our gentle English Mastiff, experienced so many “firsts.” Never really being out of the house or around new people before, this trip gave her the opportunity to safely explore, observe, and start building trust in the world around her. Watching her slowly relax and take it all in was such a win.
And then there’s Patron—working through dog reactivity in one of the most challenging environments possible: a busy campsite full of unfamiliar dogs, as well as hikes on narrow paths passing dogs and constant stimulation. With structure, guidance, and consistency, Patron was able to stay neutral and focused despite the chaos.
This is what real training looks like: not just commands in a quiet room—but learning how to navigate life, new environments, and real-world distractions.
So proud of each of these dogs and the progress they made this weekend. 🐕✨

Proof that training doesn’t stop when life gets busy. Kids playing. Dogs working. Distractions everywhere 🤪 Public spaces (used respectfully) are some of the best places to build real-world skills. This is how dependable, well-rounded dogs are made—right in the middle of real life. 🐾❤️
