Hard to believe 3 years ago we had our 1st bottle baby in the middle of December and yes....i slept outside that night with her and she almost did not make it but here she is....very healthy and happy!!!!

Salsa you say???? Get this winters batch!!! Hit me up for jar sizes and cost. At the moment we have HOT, Fire Roasted and Sweet and Spicy and we had a request for just a smoke flavor and we are in the process of making a batch, will keep you updated...all is grown and made right here at the 5L Ranch!

Well after almost 18 hrs getting this baby left for dead during the rain storm the other night.."momma ignored her"..I believe she will do just fine. Followed a guy in Indiana who got his calf temperature up to 100 degrees using his hot tub....well by God, glad we have a hot tub....her temp went from 84 to 100 in 2 hours which allowed her suckling reflexes to finally take a bottle of colostrum......and proud to say she is bottle feeding great!!!. I wanted to name her "miracle" but Sophia named her "Rayne". We welcome this newest edition to the 5L.......

Agricultural lesson #1

So for those that don't know much about Bovines ie: Cows/Bulls and even Bison this is for you.

If you are not sure where baby cows come from, here is a Cows nest. As you can see the eggs in this particular nest are all white. Now white eggs generally mean that the cow being born will either be a beef cow or a dairy cow that will only produce white milk. But if the eggs are brown (Which is more rare) you will end up with a cow that is used solely for the production of chocolate milk.
