Sunday farmstore update: so many tomatoes, including whole flats of Roma’s, heirlooms, and seconds. Poblano, Anaheim, and jalapeño peppers, a few sweet peppers (more to harvest Monday), shredded sh*tos, beans, zukes and cukes including bulk deals on these moeefwct slicing cukes (great for juicers), bulk bags of picklers, garlic, onions, cabbages, bunch greens, spicy mix (salad mix will run out soon till the Monday morning harvest), and….melons!! Cantaloupe and Crenshaw melons are ready!

Tuesday tomato time! The farmstore is full (we added an extra table) with all the types of tomatoes: cherry, slicer, heirloom, Roma, including some whole flats of romas for saucing and of imperfect heirlooms (aka 2nds). Also plenty if salad greet, beets carrots, radishes, turnips, cucumbers, zucchini, sunflowers, and much more.

Someone opened the tomato valve! We went from 4-5 flats per harvest last week to well past 20 today, so the farmstore is packed with tomatoes goodness: cherries, slicers, romas, heirlooms and even the coveted B-grade or “seconds” flats. Cilantro, chilies, garlic and onions here too so get your salsa pots ready!

Tuesday farmstore report: August bounty! We have: salad mix, spicy salad, arugula, head lettuce, celery, cabbage, Napa cabbage, carrots, beets, beans, radishes, salad turnips, cilantro two, cucumbers, zucchini (including big $5 bags of day-old or imperfect zukes and cukes), garlic, jalapeno peppers, poblanos, Anaheims, and shish*tos. Tomatoes are rolling in all afternoon!

A soaking rain and a greenhouse half-full of curing onions. Both feel like some sweet relieved after some hard, hot, smoky weeks. The greenhouse smells like soup in the most delicious way this morning, and we are breathing deeply as we continue some wet harvests for market tomorrow! The farmstore is loaded too, all the salad greens, cukes, zukes, beets, carrots, radishes, turnips, tomatillos, chilies, eggplant, potatoes, and more.

Appreciating the reminder from Piney Mountain Herbals to make simple daily teas from stuff we grow. Today: nettle, tulsi, anise hyssop, and a pinch of green tea that we did not grow ourselves. Cucumber-mint water is steeping for the team for tomorrow, because August is very much feeling like August.

We are here at market till 12:30! We decided dirty onions was better than none and grabbed these late last night after seeding greens. All the other shelves are loaded with clean and shiny veggies, and a great pile of flowers, hope we see you soon!

Monday morning farmstore update: loaded! We have salad, arugula, spicy mix, carrots, radishes, salad turnips, potatoes, fennel, celery, cabbage, kale, chard, cilantro, basil, carrots, beets (in about ten minutes, those just came in from the field!), cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, tomatillos, shiahitos, jalapeños, day old flowers for $10/ bunch, and more coming in! Oliver just started on the cherry tomato and tomato harvest, not sure the scale yet but there will be a few for later today.
