Stith Shorthorns

Stith Shorthorns We showed Shorthorns in the 80's and 90's and now are getting back into the Breed business again. Follow us as we journey back to our Purebred roots.

We have had shorthorn cattle for 40+ years and started adding some Angus into the herd 10 years ago or so but now we are getting back to our roots and moving back to a Shorthorn only herd again.

Please welcome our newest calf out of King Louis and Queen Mary. All white purebred shorthorn.

It's getting to where we can't even get over the gate before King Louis is wanting neck scratches. He's almost worse than Kathrine. Holyfield meets us at the gate too but she only cares about the feed. Kathrine and the King however won't even eat some days until they get thier scratches. The little hiefer is coming along. Still too soon to see if we keep her though.

King Louis not caring about the heat wave, I mean he doesn't care about much in the first place. He is so docile!

What a busy summer. The fields have started to get away from me. I should be mowing but can't find the time. The fences are a mess. Here's to a break soon! At least i can still see the peace in their eyes. Maybe I will find peace soon.

It was a beautiful day out finally. The cattle were not feeling photogenic obviously but here you go anyway.
