Breeding season has begun! We will be breeding most alpine and alpine/lamancha cross does to Deluna Sampson, a registered lamancha buck with a stellar pedigree. He is tall level and stands on strong feet and legs. We may have limited pure alpine kids sired by Anthem who has proven sons packing in many northwest states. We co own bucks with CTripp acres in Roberts Mt. And she will be offering pure alpine kids sired by our Redwood Hills Revolution Speed son “Chewie” . We are really liking his sons and daughters! Contact us soon if interested in 2026 kids or bred does.

We are purchasing a very nice registered lamancha buck to make available alpine lamancha crosses for our buyers for spring of 2026. This buck is registered and dna tested and from top genetics In the northwest and his offspring can be registered as recorded grade. There will be doelings and bucklings available.We have some of our top does that will be bred to him this fall. Once again we will be taking a list of interested buyers and those who send a $100 deposit per kid will be at the top of our list in the order received. There may be some limited pure alpine kids available but Anthem is 10 this year so we shall see if he can still settle does…We have tested our breeding stock every 2-3 years and consistently all test negative for CAE. Also pure alpines will be available from our partner herd CTripp acres in Roberts Mt. also. DM for questions or orders. Ann

Letting go of a few Packgoat does .Lamancha/alpine doe, very friendly, age 3 with her 3/4alpine1/4 4 month doeling as a pair. Dam is out of a Tempo Aquila alpine doe and Deluna acres buck. Nice feet and legs with a very level top line! Have an additional alpine Doeling that can go as a 3 some for a package $. Dm for additional info.

Bannock , Joker, and I got out for a lovely hike on a favorite trail. My hiking has been on pause for a few weeks due to a knee injury from a fall off my hay stack. The knee did great and I am looking forward to September hiking, my favorite month of the year! Breeding season here will be in Oct. for March packgoat prospects so give us a shout if you want to get on our list!

If you are thinking of purchasing pack goat kids or breeding stock from us this fall or next spring, please let us know before Oct. breeding as 2025 pack goat kids will be on a limited basis. Some does will not be bred for 2025 kids due to rising feed costs and will be likely available to purchase dry or potentionally bred. Thank you to past customers as well as future customers! Does here will be bred to Anthem who has sons packing throughout the northwest! I have two very nice Anthem daughters available now as I will not breed them back to their sire. Both kidded as ff 2 year olds this past spring. Anthem and 2 of his sons below.

Skalkaho Alpines continues to offer nice pack goat prospects as well as does and doelings for packing,show or homestead use! We work in conjunction with CTripp acres in Roberts , Mt. Though we have downsized the herd, we still plan to use “Chewy” and Anthem for fall breeding. If you are at all interested in 2025 kids, let us know by Sept as orders and or interest will determine the number of does we will breed this fall. We can no longer continue to retain extra animals due to the continued rise in feed and management costs. If you are interested in any does to add to your breeding program or perhaps bred does in the fall, it will be a good time to pick up some breeding stock whose sons who are packing in other homes!

Yippee! Just got CAE results back from UBRL lab in Fresno. Once again entire herd is negative for CAE! So thankful once again!

A lovely fall hike with my 18 month old boys Rusty and Duckie. They crossed a creek and when we stopped for a photo op, they had great fun in the Boulder field!

We are beginning our list for 2024 kids. Only select does will be bred for next year. Most will be bred to our Redwood Hills Revolution Speed son Chewie.I will be offering bred does for sale at excellent $$. I also have 2 extremely nice alpine and lamancha age 18 months as well as a 6 month old. All friendly and have had time on the trail
