First Baptist Church of Hamlet

First Baptist Church of Hamlet We are called to reach out into our world in loving ministry with the message of Jesus Christ. We des About the Church

As believers in Jesus we are like family.

Services

Our worship services are on Sunday at 11 am and 6:30 pm. We have Sunday school for all ages on Sunday morning at 9:45, and we have Bible study for all ages on Wednesday evening at 7. Together we seek to follow Jesus, emulating his actions and obeying his teachings contained in the Scriptures. We are called to serve and to minister, whether it is down the street or around the world. We a

called to be on mission. We attempt to fulfill this mission with other groups of believers such as the Southern Baptist Convention, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, and the Pee Dee Association. It is the calling and responsibility of all believers to be ministers. We believe that God calls whoever He desires-male and female, young and old-to carry out His work in this world. We affirm women in ministry and have women deacons in our congregation. About Worship

We have a blend of worship styles, from our traditional Sunday morning worship services to our contemporary Celebration Service on the first Sunday night of the month. In our worship services the Bible is preached with passion and simplicity. The Scriptures are applied to daily living in the real world. The focus is on presenting the Bible in a clear and understandable manner: for long time church goers and for those who are not familiar with church services at all. About the People
The congregation is made up of people from various walks of life as well as various age groups. We try hard to make all people feel at home in First Baptist Church. We sincerely desire to reach out into our world in loving ministry with the message of Jesus Christ. We are not out to make a name for ourselves, but, without apology, we do desire to make our Lord's name known.

Juneteenth marks a powerful moment in our nation’s story: the day freedom was finally announced to those who had been unjustly denied it. It's a celebration of freedom. And that's something all Christians can get behind, because it's our story as well.
