Pew Pew is our special chicken. He wasn’t able to walk when he was a wee chick and we thought he was going to die. Peyton doctored him for numerous weeks. He was kept by himself because the other chickens picked on him. When he was finally put outside, he couldn’t be put up at night with the other chickens. He sleeps in the goat pen and this is how Jason found them this morning.

Peyton has been wanting a hen that would hatch her own eggs. He kept leaving eggs in her nesting box and she’s finally staying on them.

Meet our newest baby on the farm. Our chickens decided to wait until the winter to lay eggs. Peyton decided to incubate some of their eggs and one of them hatched in the middle of the ice storm. We have one more peeping.
