As small-time cattle farmers, we face challenges in managing our livestock due to limited equipment. Our agenda for the day included applying pour-on treatments for worm control and fly management. In considering the best approach, I prioritized minimizing animal stress and avoiding physical strain. Fortunately, my son stepped forward, assuring me he would handle the task. With the animals' trust, gained through offering cubes, he efficiently administered the medication while preventing any spillage, showcasing his skill and care. The cattle's affection for him was evident, and his calm approach ensured their comfort. Reflecting on his initial hesitation six years ago, I am particularly grateful for his current involvement and dedication.
