August 4th I did a thing.

L5-S1 ViaDisc procedure done by Dr Paul Watts of Hendrick Bone & Joint Clinic in Abilene, Texas.
After a little hiccup - I think the release of pressure upset my sciatic nerve? - I have been nearly back pain free since.

My experience is my own, I can’t tell anyone how the procedure would affect them.

For my results, it’s been a blessing. I have avoided depending on opioids/strong meds for years & Dr Watts has been fully supportive of that decision. But the tradeoff was withstanding a lot of pain.

Now, in my 70th year, I’m more comfortable than I have been in memory and I can sleep!

Although Dr Watts did request that I stop bulldogging my calves when they need medicine…🤷🏼‍♀️

As small-time cattle farmers, we face challenges in managing our livestock due to limited equipment. Our agenda for the day included applying pour-on treatments for worm control and fly management. In considering the best approach, I prioritized minimizing animal stress and avoiding physical strain. Fortunately, my son stepped forward, assuring me he would handle the task. With the animals' trust, gained through offering cubes, he efficiently administered the medication while preventing any spillage, showcasing his skill and care. The cattle's affection for him was evident, and his calm approach ensured their comfort. Reflecting on his initial hesitation six years ago, I am particularly grateful for his current involvement and dedication.
