Situated on the southwestern hills of Keuka Lake. It was here in 1958 that Dr. Konstantin Frank planted his first Vinifera vines and ignited the “Vinifera Revolution.” This movement would forever change the course of winemaking in the Finger Lakes and the Eastern United States.

“There is so much diversity in the soils here,” says Frederick Frank, president of Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery. “That’s partially due to the different soil types created when the glaciers were receding. There are certain generalities. Our Keuka Lake site, for example, offers rockier soils with shale, and steeper slopes. This creates a more mineral character, especially in our dry Rieslings.”

Just 60-plus years after planting Vitis vinifera vines, standout vineyards across New York’s Finger Lakes wine region are proving that soil and site matters, and greatness can be found in single-site expressions.

Sunny days ahead!

We're delighted to introduce our new 2025 Dry Rosé, a wine that captures everything we love about this season: freshness, vibrancy, and a joyful sense of renewal.

A blend of 90% Cabernet Franc and 10% Blaufränkisch, the 2025 Dry Rosé is truly summer in a glass. Aromas of ripe strawberry, raspberry, and hints of watermelon lead into a lively palate bursting with bright red berries and a subtle citrus lift. Despite its ripe fruit character, the wine finishes crisp and dry, with refreshing acidity that keeps it light on its feet.

“This rosé is an excellent introduction for those who typically gravitate toward sweeter wines, as its expressive fruit profile makes it immediately approachable while remaining beautifully dry.”

Pairs With:
Strawberry & Almond Salad
Grilled Watermelon with Feta
Seared Salmon with Apricot Glaze
A Backyard Hammock on a Warm Afternoon

Available now online or at the winery!

The first day of Spring is March 20th! We can't think of a better way to celebrate than with a chilled glass of our most popular white.

Long before Georgian varieties became fashionable, Konstantin Frank knew something the wine world had yet to discover: Rkatsiteli belonged here. Naturally high in acidity, cold-hardy, and resistant to disease, this ancient grape is uniquely suited to the cool-climate sites of the Finger Lakes — often the last white harvested each season, holding its freshness deep into autumn.

Fermented entirely in stainless steel tanks, the 2025 vintage captures the purest expression of the fruit: bright, clean, and expressive. Because Rkatsiteli naturally bridges the aromatic worlds of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, our approach borrows from both: cool fermentation temperatures preserve lifted aromatics while enhancing its vivid fruit personality.

This year, a refined yeast selection brings the tropical and citrus tones into sharper focus. The result is a more exuberant, polished expression bursting with mango, pineapple, ripe pear, and stone fruit.

“If this is your first time with Rkatsiteli, think of it as a meeting point between Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc: aromatic, energetic, and food-friendly. Serve well chilled and allow it a moment in the glass to reveal its complexity.” -Shaylan

Now available online and at the winery.

Thank you VinePair for including our 2024 Margrit Dry Riesling in the 30 Best Rieslings for 2026!

Riesling is one of the wine world’s more divisive grapes, but that’s only because it’s so versatile. It can be hit-the-brakes sweet or vibrantly dry; racy and angular or soft and round. So if you think you don’t like Riesling, chances are you just haven’t found “the one” yet. To help y...

Thank you, Lenn Thompson from The Cork Report, for naming our 2020 Blanc de Blanc your most memorable wine of 2025!

"I never imagined that the #1 wine on this list was going to be a Finger Lakes sparkling wine, but honestly, Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery could have placed more than one sparkler on it. The winery has always produced terrific sparklers, but the current lineup is truly something to behold, and two others were on the initial list of around 50 wines I jotted down. Only one riesling made that initial list, by the way.

This Dr. Konstantin Frank 2020 Blanc de Noirs earned the top spot not only because it genuinely became my favorite sparkling wine of the year, but also based on the feedback I received from members of my wine club after they tasted it as part of my October 2025 Cork Club shipment. No wine in the history of the club has resulted in the number of emails, text messages, and DMs that this wine did. All positive, of course. Many wanting to get more.

I have one bottle left, and I’m legitimately considering going into my wine room after I’m done typing this sentence to chill it and enjoy tonight."
