Originally from France, we fell in love with Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes wine region of New York State after 15 Vintages around the world. We unite our French heritage and new world wine experience to develop wines which pair well with fine cuisine as well as casual fare. When people ask us what is a good wine, we love to say that it is the one you enjoy, so we hope that you will enjoy our wine

s with your friends and family. We invite you to relax on our deck overlooking Keuka Lake, enjoy a glass of wine and learn more about our French style winery. Please follow our page to stay posted on our new wines releases, winery events and much more. Céline & Sébastien LeSeurre

After eight months of planning, preparation, and dreaming, the first machines finally touched the ground at 1487 Heritage.

This was the beginning of something we had imagined for so long: the future home of our new tasting room on Seneca Lake.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing the journey piece by piece — from the first excavation to the foundation, and now to the historic wood rising into place.

Every great story starts with a first step.
For 1487 Heritage, this was it.

French roots. Finger Lakes soul.

Every season brings a new lesson.

This year, we're changing the way we train our vines. Instead of encouraging vertical growth, we're guiding the canes horizontally, creating a healthier canopy with better airflow, more balanced sunlight exposure, and stronger fruit development for years to come.

Just a few rows away, our Riesling is entering one of the most exciting moments of the season—its first blooms are beginning to appear. The Chardonnay is already in full flower, and now the Riesling is quietly following behind.

If you watch closely until the end... you might notice something else.

Beyond the vines, the frame of our new barn is finally beginning to rise. One piece at a time, the next chapter of our story is taking shape.

Some things are worth the wait. 🍇✨

The smallest decisions often make the biggest difference. 🍇

Just a few weeks ago, these Chardonnay vines were replanted. Today, they're waking up and reaching for the sun.

As they grow, our job is to guide them. Each vine naturally produces several new shoots, but we carefully select only the two strongest, allowing the plant to focus its energy where it matters most.

It's a simple step that builds a healthier vine, a stronger root system, and ultimately, better grapes.

Winemaking isn't just about what happens in the cellar—it's about every thoughtful decision made in the vineyard, one vine at a time.

Watching these young vines take their first steps is a reminder that great wines are grown with patience long before they're poured into a glass.

Not every challenge in the vineyard comes from the weather.

Our Riesling block has some very enthusiastic visitors. 🦌🍇 The deer seem to agree that these vines are something special.

But instead of reaching for the easiest solution, we're choosing a different path—finding ways to protect the vineyard while continuing to share this land with the wildlife that calls it home.

And maybe that's part of what makes this place so unique.

Here on Seneca Lake, the sun doesn't just shine from above. It reflects off the water and back onto the vines, bathing our Riesling in a second light that helps shape the character, ripeness, and balance of every vintage.

Nature gives. Nature takes. And great wine is born from learning to work with both.

🍷 Riesling, wildlife, and a little bit of double sunshine.

There’s something special about planting a vineyard—not for today, but for the years to come.

This week, we replanted nearly 200 Chardonnay vines on the property that will become the future home of Céline & Sébastien LeSeurre on Seneca Lake.

Each vine is a promise of future harvests, future celebrations, and wines that will tell the story of this land for generations. The first bottles from these vines are still years away, but every great wine begins with a single vine placed carefully into the earth.

We’re not just growing Chardonnay.
We’re growing the next chapter of our family’s story.

🍇 See you in a few years, little vines. We’ll be here every step of the way.

Every great bottle of wine begins with a tiny flower.

These are the Chardonnay vines overlooking Seneca Lake—the very vines that will one day surround 1487, our new winery inspired by centuries of French heritage.

Right now, they're in bloom, quietly transforming sunshine, soil, and fresh Finger Lakes air into the fruit that will define our future wines.

In about 90 days, these delicate blossoms will become clusters ready for harvest, marking the beginning of another vintage and another chapter in our story.

From centuries-old French timber to young vines rooted in the Finger Lakes, 1487 is being built one season at a time.

The future is already growing. 🍇✨

Some places are built. Others are crafted.

For the entrance to 1487, we chose Semond Stone, a beautiful natural limestone sourced from the historic regions of Burgundy and Champagne, France. For centuries, this stone has been used to build villages, estates, and wine cellars that have stood the test of time.

Each piece was carefully cut and engraved with 1487 and the LeSeurre family crest, creating a lasting connection between our French heritage and our new home in the Finger Lakes.

This isn't just an entrance. It's a piece of history, carrying the character and craftsmanship of the vineyards that inspired our journey.

Every beam, every stone, every detail has been chosen with intention.

French roots. Finger Lakes soul.

Every journey has a moment that changes everything.

After standing proudly since 1487, these centuries-old timbers are now being carefully taken apart for the very last time. Every beam is numbered, preserved, and prepared for its voyage across the Atlantic, where skilled artisans will make the final adjustments before bringing this historic barn back to life.

Watching the last pieces come down is bittersweet. It marks the end of one story but also the beginning of another.

Soon, these same 15th-century beams will rise again in the Finger Lakes, carrying with them more than five centuries of craftsmanship, family history, and tradition.

History isn't being left behind.
It's coming with us.

And now, we'd love for you to help shape its future.
