I got 2!

Today was the day I hoped never would be. We lost our Hela, she was hit by a vehicle and her injuries were too severe. So we made the hard choice to end her suffering and set her free. We barely had her 2 years and the loss is huge. She was the best guardian dog and there will never be another like her. We love you Hela Bella, our Hells Bells. Your sisters miss you and we will all see you again one day at the Rainbow Bridge 🌈

The best thing about this unintentional pumpkin harvest is that I didn’t do a single thing! I’ve planted pumpkins in the past and babied them only to lose them to squash beetles and other pests. This crop was purely accidental. These vines volunteered out of straw bales that were used last fall for decorations and they grew all around our greenhouse. I never watered them or moved them. We have 10 so far!
