After years of eating our way through New Jersey, the Fat Man in a Van is packing up the van and heading SOUTH!

That’s right…

👋 Goodbye, New Jersey!
🌴 HELLO, ORLANDO & CENTRAL FLORIDA! ☀️

A whole new state means a whole new list of diners, food trucks, BBQ joints, taco spots, hidden gems, tourist traps, and questionable roadside decisions to try. 😂

And don’t worry — the rules haven’t changed:

🍔 He’ll eat it.
⭐ He’ll rate it.
🚐 He’ll drive way too far for it.
❌ And there will STILL be NO MAYO OR RANCH!

New Jersey gave us plenty of great meals and memories, but it’s time to see what Florida is cooking. 🔥

🚨 FAT MAN vs. BUC-EE’S BRISKET TACO 🌮

We’re driving from New Jersey to Florida, and apparently Chris thinks that means we have to eat our way down I-95. 😂

First victim: Buc-ee’s brisket taco.

No fancy food critic vocabulary. No pretending something is good because it’s famous. Just a fat man, a van, and a taco that’s about to be judged HARD. 😂

🌮 Is it worth the hype?

We’re driving from New Jersey to Florida, and you know we couldn’t pass a Buc-ee’s without stopping! 😂

First mission: the famous brisket taco 🌮🔥

🚐 FAT MAN IN A VAN — MANHATTAN RUN ➡️ JERSEY CITY EATS 🇮🇹

Tonight was a busy night with the business!

One of our longtime regular customers needed transportation into Manhattan for a very special event — her grandson was receiving a scholarship. 🎓❤️ I always enjoy seeing our regulars, so I was more than happy to make the drive into NYC for them.

After dropping them off, I figured… I’m already this close to Jersey City. Might as well find something good to eat. 😂

Tonight’s stop: Laico’s 🇮🇹🍝

From the outside, Laico’s looks like an old house that was converted into a restaurant, which gives it that classic neighborhood Italian feel.

🥣 Sausage & Escarole Soup — savory, flavorful, and a great way to start.

🍝 Veal Parm with Spaghetti — the veal was tender, covered in plenty of cheese, and the pasta was cooked perfectly.

🇮🇹 Cannoli — because let’s be serious… you don’t finish an Italian dinner without a cannoli.

⭐ FAT MAN RATING: 9.5/10

Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Another successful night of driving people around… and eating my way through Jersey. 😂

Jersey breakfast done RIGHT. 🥪🔥

Pork roll. Egg. Cheese. Hash brown right on the sandwich.
Because apparently I woke up today and chose cholesterol. 😂

Crispy hash brown, salty pork roll, fried egg, melted cheese and a toasted roll.

This isn’t breakfast… this is a Jersey love language.

Chicken = protein.
Tomato sauce = vegetable.
Cheese = dairy.
Bread = grain.

That’s basically the whole food pyramid. 😂
