Spotlight Time: Maeve 🖤

Maeve is our beautiful young Red Mottled Pita Pinta × Russian Pavlovskaya from Painted Wings Farm!

She is such a standout bird and has joined our Easter/ Olive Egger breeding pen (under Drax, our Blue Ameraucana Roo).

While we won’t be hatching from this pen again until next season, we’re excited to see the babies that come from her and Drax in the future! 🖤

Available: Black Copper Maran Hen

We are looking to rehome Pop-Tart, our 1.5-year old Black Copper Maran hen.
My 3 year old named her and honestly it suits her😂🤷🏼‍♀️

I originally purchased her from a friend, but unfortunately she has not been accepted into my established flock. This is absolutely no fault of her own she’s a healthy, productive hen who simply isn’t fitting in with my girls.

🥚Lays a medium-dark brown egg (pictured)
🥚Eggs are medium sized
••Currently laying almost daily••

*Used to kids and dogs
*Skittish and does not like to be picked up or held but not a nutcase either*

We currently have two unique Easter Egger pullets looking for a new coop:

🖤Black Pullet – 13 weeks old
• Silver Spangled Appenzeller Spitzhauben × Ameraucana
• Expected to lay light pastel blue eggs
• Active, alert, and developing the cutest little crest

🩶Grey Pullet – 10 weeks old
• Blue Laced Wyandotte × Black Ameraucana
• Expected to lay large mint green eggs
• Sweet young bird with plenty of personality & CHEEKS

These girls would make a great addition to a colorful egg basket and a diverse backyard flock.

Looking for something a little different for your flock?

We have two DNA-sexed female chicks available and ready to find their new coop! Both girls are currently 3–4 weeks old, thriving, and should be ready to come completely off heat within about a week.

🖤Shetland × Russian Pavlovskaya
• Predicted to lay beautiful mint green eggs
• Expected to be both hardy and eye-catching

🖤Red Mottled Pita Pinta × Russian Pavlovskaya
• Predicted to lay pink eggs
• Gorgeous golden spangling already coming in

These girls were hatched from Painted Wings Farms program. They are being offered simply because we’re making a little room in our brooders for upcoming hatchlings.

Look at this little guy!

We’re holding him back as a potential breeder for next season, and so far we’re loving everything about him. Great personality, easy to handle & really clean shaped crest. 💛

Time will tell as he matures, but we’re excited to see whether he develops all the qualities we’re looking for in a proper Silver Spangled Spitzhauben rooster. For now, he’s definitely making a strong case for himself!

Meet Loki & Fawkes the newest roosters we are adding to our Icelandic breeding program 🐓🔥

We’re incredibly excited to bring these two together and continue building the hardy, productive New England Icelandic line we’ve been working toward.

So far the boys have been getting along amazingly, which is always a huge win with roosters. Even better, both carry so many of the qualities we look for alert, hardy, confident, beautiful, and full of personality. Icelandics are such an incredible landrace breed, known for their resilience, foraging ability, and variety, and these boys are already proving why we love them so much.

We can’t wait to watch them mature and see the babies they produce next season. Something tells me next year’s chicks are going to be extra special 💛

Meet Drax, our blue Ameraucana from Heritage Oaks Farm. Just over 6 months old and already maturing into quite the gentleman (& big guy). He definitely has some big shoes to fill, but he’s doing a great job in the Easter Egger pen so far.

The hens seem more than happy to have him around, and we’re excited to watch him continue to grow out.

He’s still getting in his big boy feathers, and we can’t wait to see him fully matured. Between his calm personality, good manners with the flock, and those beautiful Ameraucana traits, he’s quickly becoming a favorite here.💙
