Tariff-free beef started coming in Sept. 1, and three weeks later ground beef was down just 16 cents a pound.

The goal was 25 percent off. USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins said so herself at the Iowa State Fair. On a $7.29 pound, that's about $1.80.

You got 16 cents. Roughly 2 percent.

That's the average across 41 grocery stores in 22 states, and 30 of them didn't change their price at all, according to American Farm Bureau economists.

The cheaper imports keep coming until about the end of November.
