Meet the newest residents of Crescent Moon Farms 🌙
12 Red Devon cattle 🐄 Red Devons are one of the oldest breeds still in America, first arriving on these shores back in 1623. Known as the “Red Rubies,” they were built for exactly one thing — thriving on grass.
With genetics that predate the grain-finishing era entirely, they’re widely recognized as one of the best breeds on earth for 100% grass-fed, grass-finished beef.
And that natural marbling? That rich flavor? That comes from the grass — exactly the way it should be.
Now. About the welcome party…
Turns out one of our Red Rubies had a different arrival plan. Within minutes of hitting Crescent Moon soil she decided she’d seen enough, hoofed it straight up the driveway and made a break for Falls Road. Can’t say we blame her for the curiosity, but she’s home now. 😂
This farm is starting to look like something. New lambs. New calf. A baby on the way. 12 new Red Rubies — one of whom apparently has a taste for adventure.
We’re not done growing but everything we’re building is pointing toward one thing: getting real food to your table the right way.
