First of all today we officially hit 3000 followers and we are soooo grateful for all the support. It has only been one month since we hit 2500 so we have been absolutely blown away by everyone sharing our farm stand so we just want to take a minute and say THANK YOU and also welcome to all the new customers coming.
We know many people have been asking about pickles and they are finally restocked. With that, we want to give a little update about our cucumbers. If you have been coming to our farm for any period of time, you have probably noticed in the last few years we put fences up and that is mostly due to deer eating our plants. This year, groundhogs initially were eating our cucumber plants inside the fence but thankfully that has mostly stopped. Our second planting of cucumbers was not in a fence and as you can see in the 2nd and 3rd photos, the deer have demolished them. The final picture is the one plant they left alone and what a healthy plant should look like.
All that being said, we know many people have asked about bulk cucumbers because that is something in years past we were able to offer. Between the deer 🦌 eating the plants, so many people coming and buying stuff each day, and us needing to make and restock pickles that is why we haven’t been able to do it. Our third planting is in the fence and looks beautiful so we are praying soon we will be getting a lot more.
Just as another update, we have diligently been making jam so we can restock. If a flavor you want to try is out, check back soon and it will likely be restocked. In case you haven’t seen it, we have a slot on the stand if you would like to return the jars once you are done with it so we can wash and reuse them which helps us keep the cost down on our pickles and jams.
