Growing up in a cooking family, in Columbia, SC in the 60s and 70s I've always been impressed with how, food brings people together. My mother was an amazing cook, and dad could hold his own as well. During my 24 years in the US Navy I was blessed enough to taste food from all over the world, but no matter where I went I would always conclude that NOTHING can compare to southern food. Standing in

front of a grill or a smoker is my comfort zone, and once again I was blessed with the gift of knowing how to make good bbq. I wasn't satisfied with the taste of store bought rubs or sauces, so with the help of my Uncle Al I created my own.
